ÖSD / OSD German Exams

OSD German Exams are internationally recognized German language exams and certificates for children, young learners and adults, which correspond to the levels of the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages” (CEFR). The German acronym ÖSD stands for “Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch” as well as for “Österreich (Austria), Schweiz (Switzerland), Deutschland (Germany)”.

ÖSD Exams are communicatively-orientated and check the ability to act in the language with real situations of use in mind and are are pluricentric, i.e. the standard varieties of the German-speaking countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland are taken into account. ÖSD Exams are only held in examination centres with an ÖSD licence by trained ÖSD examiners that follow standardised rules.

ÖSD Exam Levels

ÖSD exams are internationally recognized and range from level A1 to C2. The exams are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels.

ÖSD Exam Venue Information:

Location: The exam will be held at Krislingua Consultancy Services LLP, 303, Kasana Tower 1, Alpha 1 Commercial Belt, Greater Noida. The building has security guards in its lobby who can assist candidate to reach the venue by using its 3 elevators.

Travel Details: Krislingua is situated in the heart of the city, Greater Noida and is 200 meters away from Alpha 1 Metro Station, and 700 meters from Pari Chowk. Greater Noida is well connected to New Delhi through Metro-Rail and Road Transport, to Agra through Yamuna Expressway, to Noida through Noida Expressway, to Ghaziabad, Meerut, and the state Haryana through Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Timing: The exam usually starts early and runs late. Exact reporting time will be in your exam confirmation email. Late arrivals will not be admitted, and in such cases the fees will not be refunded.

Food and Drink: Drinking Water and Tea/ Coffee will be provided to the candidates at the exam venue. The nearby Alpha 1 Commercial market has many paid options for Breakfast/Lunch/ Snacks and Dinner.

Accommodation: Krislingua does not provide accommodation; candidates must arrange their own accommodation, if needed. Krislingua help desk may help you finding the accommodation as there are many hotels, Hostels, Guest Houses in nearby locations.

Schedule Changes: Exam dates and times might change; check your exam ticket for the final details.
Entry Rules: Only candidates can enter the venue. Parents, relatives or friends of the candidates are not allowed inside the exam venue. Candidates can only leave once the exam is completed.

Terms and Conditions for ÖSD Exam Registration:

1. Booking: OSD German Exam slots are reserved online on a first-come, first-served basis. Book your slot as soon as the exam dates are announced.
2. Pre-Booking Information: Candidates must review the exam pattern, passing criteria, and other exam relevant details on Krislingua or ÖSD website before booking.
3. Personal Details: Ensure accuracy of name and personal details as per your Government ID at the time of booking; no changes will be possible post-registration.

Identification Document Rules:

(a) Accepted IDs: Upload a clear colour photo of one of these valid government IDs: Passport, PAN Card, or Aadhaar Card. PAN Cards without photos are not accepted for minors.
(b) Photo and Details: The ID must show the candidate’s current photo and full Date of Birth. If your appearance differs significantly from the ID photo, email to contact@krislingua.com before payment.
(c) Bring Original ID: You must bring the original, valid ID you uploaded at booking to the exam. If you don’t bring the original ID, you won’t be allowed to take the exam and fees won’t be refunded.
(d) No Copies Accepted: Laminated, soft, or Digi-Locker copies of IDs are not acceptable.
(e) Identity Check: You will be allowed to take the exam only if the examiner is fully satisfied with your identity.

 

4. Special Needs: Candidates requiring special accommodations should email contact@krislingua.com with relevant documentation before registering.
5. Data Use: By registering for the exam, candidates consent to their data being stored, processed, and used by Krislingua and/or ÖSD for administrative purposes.

OSD German Exams Fee Rules

1. Payment: The full exam fee must be paid at registration and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
2. Schedule Changes: Once paid, the exam date and time cannot be changed.
3. No Refunds: Fees will not be refunded for no-shows, late arrivals, or if found involved in cheating.
4. Pre-Payment Queries: For any questions, email contact@krislingua.com before making the payment.
5. Exam Cancellation: If Krislingua cancels the exam due to unforeseen circumstances, the fee can be transferred to a future exam date or refunded to the candidate’s bank account.

Personal Belongings Rules:

1. Allowed Items: Only bring exam-related documents and ID to the venue. Do not carry bags, purses, jackets, mobile phones, gadgets, watches, smartwatches, smart glasses, wallets, money, or jewellery.
2. Locker: If you bring any prohibited items, you’ll need to leave them in Locker in the waiting room.
3. Stationery: A ballpoint pen will be provided by the exam centre.
