Studienkolleg in Germany
Students who have done 10+2 need to first go through the 1 year Studienkolleg Course because the schooling in Germany is of 13 years.
The Studienkolleg (Foundation Course) is also called a Preparatory Course for those who wish to do their Bachelor Studies in German Public Universities.
The Studienkolleg helps the students to brush up their German Language Skills and learn all the subjects, relevant to their study field, in German.
It also gives the students an opportunity to get used to the German System, Environment and Culture etc.
The Students can do the Studienkolleg from a Public or a Private University/ College. To be able to get admission in (Free) Studienkolleg in a Public University, one should have German Language Proficiency upto C1 Level or B2 plus TestDaf and must qualify the Aufnahmepruefung (Entrance Exam).
Once the student has qualified the Aufnahmepruefung, student gets admission in one of the following Studienkolleg depending on the study field of Bachelor Course:
- T-Kurs (For Mathematical, Scientific or Technical Study Programs):
German, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Informatics - M-Kurs (For Medical, Biological and Pharmaceutical Programs) :
German, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology - W-Kurs (For Business, Economics and Social Science Study Programs) :
German, Mathematics, Sociology, Business and Economics - G-Kurs (For German Studies, Humanities and Design or Art Study Programs) :
German History, Sociology, German Literature and Statistics
